I hope everyone had a great finish to their summer. I wanted to send out an update about our new Summer Stroke Instruction. We will be starting our Summer clinics on Monday, August 10th and run for 4 weeks until Thursday, September 3rd. All ages will feature 4 class offerings each week with a schedule depending on the swimmer's age group. Swimmers do not need to attend all 4 practices each week, but having practice each day will allow those in other sports to work around those schedules to stay in the water also. Swimmers are encouraged to attend all 4 practices each week whenever possible. Here is the schedule:

4-6 year-olds: Monday through Thursday 4:00-4:30 PM

7-8 year-olds: Monday through Thursday 4:30-5:00 PM

9-10 year-olds: Monday through Thursday 5:00-6:00 PM

11-18 year-olds: Monday through Thursday 6:00-7:00 PM

The cost of Summer Stroke Instruction for Cabana Club Members is $100 per swimmer. There is a $25 sibling discount applied to each successive swimmer from the same family.

The cost of Summer Stroke Instruction for Non-Members on the Cabana Club Waiting List is $150 per swimmer. There is also a $25 sibling discount applied to each successive swimmer from the same family.

Remember that we also have a relationship with the CMAC (club swimming) program. You may sign-up at anytime and pause your membership to participate with the Penguins and then restart it when you return. CMAC swim practices will take place at Costa Mesa or Estancia High schools with weekly emails detailing practice schedules. You may register for the CMAC program at https://coastalmachineaquaticsclub.commitswim.com/. This is a 5 days a week option for more serious swimming with access to regular competitions. This is the next step towards more serious swimming.

As we plan to offer year-round clinics at the Cabana Club, they will be broken into 4 to 6 week chunks for billing purposes. We plan to keep costs at about $25 per week, so you may notice slightly different fees for each clinic that reflect its length. We will need you to re-register for every clinic in order to process payments in the office. When one clinic ends another will begin unless a holiday break separates clinics.

We are also working to coordinate some off-season swim meets (one in the Fall and another in the early Spring) with Green Valley.
